This week was an interesting week. We only managed to get out 4 tips this week instead of the usual 5 — we try our best, but sometimes life just gets in the way. I am sure you will all be happy to hear that the feed problems have finally been fixed. We are still working on iTunes, but in the meantime you can once again enjoy feed goodness via the direct feedburner link.

For anyone that has subscribed already, DELETE the subscription in iTunes. Next, copy this link: http://feeds.feedburner.com/tipcast and paste it into iTunes by clicking “Advanced” on the iTunes menu bar, and then “Subscribe to Podcast”. Paste the link into the box and hit ok. You should now be resubscribed to the feed.

• We discussed various backup media
• We upgraded our GPU heatsinks

That wraps it up for this week. Thanks for bearing with us through those feed problems. For those of you having issues in IE with the flashed based players on the main page — we are still trying to get that fixed. Unfortunately that somewhat rests in the hands of the plug-in developer…

This week it seems that some feed problems have cropped up; as a result, we have been delisted from the itunes music store. Suck. We are still trying to get the problems fixed — the issue is that not everyone seems to be having them. Some people can access the feed fine, and others not at all. Feedburner has been in contact with us, but they are saying everything is a-ok — obviously itunes doesnt feel the same.

We might end up ditching podpress in an attempt to fix the problem. We are currenly looking into other web based flash players that are compatible with wordpress. If you know of one, please contact us.

Also this week Sean gave us his first tip on the topic of U3 thumb drives. Thanks to Sean for that — look for more tips by Sean (and hopefully some from Thom) in the very near future.

• We learned about removing spyware
• We discovered how to get longer nights and weekends
• We sync’d our Google calendars with Outlook
• We took our software everywhere with U3 flash drives

Again, we would like to thank you for visiting us here at Tipcast. Obviously we are having a few growing pains, but rest assured we are trying to get things fixed. In the meantime you can still download episodes directly from the site in ever-so-convienient mp3 format.

Some of you may have noticed but our feed isnt working at the moment. We are trying to get this resolved, but its particularly difficult because Thom is out of town on vacation this week, and according to feedburner everything is a-ok. Suck.

In the meantime, all of the tips are still able to be accessed via the website (well, you can download them… the player is currently only working in FF and Opera — IE users must actually download the episodes).

We are very sorry about all the problems; we consider them growing pains, and hopefully you do too — thanks for sticking with us.
