Norton and McAfee are known as the major players in the antivirus world — but on many machines they are causing more harm than good. Blocking legit programs, slowing down the machine, and frequent crashes, are just a few of the signs that it might be time to reevaluate your AV situation!
How big is the pile of remotes on your coffee table? Have so many you forget which one is for which device? Perhaps you went out and bought a universal remote, only to have it lack some of the features of the individual ones. If these situations sound familiar, your might be interested in a device called a touch screen remote, and in particular, a line from Logitech called Harmony.
These days if you are carrying a laptop while out and about, it’s almost inevitable that you will need to get online at some inopportune moment. If you have a wireless card on your laptop, it’s usually possible to pick up on someone else’s unsecured wireless network and bum a ride for a couple minutes on the information superhighway.
Its quite obvious that one of the most important things to your electronics is that vital flow of electricity the sustains them, but sometimes in an unfortunate event, that power can dip or even be stopped short entirely – leaving your devices as nothing more than expensive paperweights.
Because of the complexity of the tip, I am posting the entire tip as submitted by listener Paul Gordon.
Make sure you have your Office CD because it will need it.
1) In “\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11″ directory delete the MSACC.OLB file. Then start Access. This causes an error and Access will repair it. Then close Access and restart it by opening an existing database.
2) Next, open the Immediate Window by pressing Ctrl+G. Then type in commandbars(”menu bar”).Enabled = true and press enter.
3) Last, in order to keep the change right click in the menu bar area and go to Customize. Click on “Menu Bar” to highlight it and then click Reset.
Close Access and re-open and you should be good to go.

Everyone has a stack of passwords to remember. Work, home, email, and websites are just a few of the places you use passwords on a daily basis. The security of the system is only as secure as the password you are using. I’m sure you have heard passwords such as your dogs name or your birthday aren’t very secure, but what can we do to fix that?
Remote desktop allows you to log into your computer either across a local network or even across the internet. This is useful for administering a server or workstation in another location, helping a friend or relative with a computer related problem, or even using another computer like a proxy to get around those pesky corporate firewalls.
