Weekend Rewind
This segment is something that will appear every now and again on the “off days” that Tipcast experiences each week.
This week’s recap:
- We disabled indexing to save space on our hard drives
- We reduced pagefile fragmentation
- We had an overview of online shopping
Thom, Sean and Myself would like to sincerely thank everyone that has been participating in the tipcast experience since we launced. I just wanted to point out a couple things to make your visit to tipcast.org that much better…
First, im sure lots of you noticed the “experience level” of the tips is varying quite a bit — those that loved the tip on page file fragmentation might have been a bit disappointed in the online shopping post, and vice versa. In order to attract a wide audience, we are trying to hit a pretty broad spectrum while remaining in the “techie” realm. Some may say that we would do better off with a more focused approach; but since we release a new podcast DAILY (during the work week, M-F) you should never have to go more than a day or two without a tip that is relevant to your skill level. If youre concerned about this approach, please let us know! Also, please remember that you can submit your own tip, which brings me to my second topic…
SUBMIT TIPS!!! We would love to hear about YOUR favorite tips that you use when setting up a system, or just running day to day. We aren’t really that picky about what you submit to us, and your submissions will help to drive the show in a direction you want it to go.
Ratings. See the stars next to every post? You can click on those! Let us know what you think of various tips. By rating tips you do two things…
- Help drive the direction of the show by letting us know what you like
- Help new users find good tips as they are highlighted in the sidebar
If you want to contact us, please post right here on the blog; or, email us at tipcast@gmail.com
I think that wraps everything up for this week. Thanks again for supporting us — a whole new week of great tips is right around the corner!
