If you’re like me, you probably don’t use the “search” tool in windows to find your files and folders. You already know where the important ones are, and if you do have to search you don’t mind waiting a minute or two for the result. But did you know that Windows is indexing every item on your machine so that when you DO use the search feature it performs a bit faster?

It sounds like a good idea, but again, if you store your files in a common location such as “my documents” that index is a colossal waste of space! Naturally the next question would be, well Tony, can I turn off this index? Of course you can!
